2003-02-10In Cracow on 21st of January Michal Urbaniak peformed with Sinfonietta Cracovia one of the best chamber orchestra in Poland.
Concert of Urbaniak with Sinfonietta Cracovia which was conducted by Robert Kabara and accompanied by: Jan Smoczynski - pianist, Krzysztof Pacan- basist and Sebastian Frankiewicz - drummer was given in philharmonic interior and it fit great to this place. "(...)We listend to Michal Urbaniak's music which is a real jazz mastery. It's hard for me to estimate his work so I leave it aside for experts. I can only say that I was marveled at way of using instrument, excellent structure and great emotions which every of presented pieces was saturated with. The instrumentation of compositions caused that classical sound of string quintet of Sinfonietta Cracovia fit to facture of Urbaniak's jazz work and it was an interesting experience for audience and musicians of Cracow's orchiestra too."
